fused glass

Fused glass is a wonderful technique which allows a design to be either painterly in style or quite graphic. Working with thin sheets of coloured glass, I cut out shapes to create the design, and then fire in the kiln to fuse together, at around 804 degrees. These are then slumped into a ceramic mould at a lower temperature to create the form required.

My collection include dishes, platters and also hanging panels. Incorporating colour and pattern, my designs are inspired by mid-century with a contemporary twist.

I can also work to commission if a bespoke interior panel, or a special gift is required and can create glass pieces using a more fluid and flowing design in a painterly style. Please enquire here to make an enquiry.
